Reading… What does it mean to me?

Last week when the National Endowment for the Arts delivered the sobering news that Americans — particularly teenagers and young adults — are reading less for fun. At the same time, reading scores among those who read less are declining, and employers are proclaiming workers deficient in basic reading comprehension skills.
So, my question to you is, how do you feel about your own personal reading habits, reading interests and skill level. And if you have a negative attitude about reading please tell me why, and at least back it up with a few good points.
